But you need to either put a prominent link on the old forum, or use a redirect to get people here. My old bookmark keeps taking me to the old site, and I know you want us coming here.
I've added a new Favorite now, but I'll bet there are some who won't go into that one post of yours and click the link to get here.

I am actually making a list now of the final things that need to be done in order to truly complete this new board. I already closed down the posting potential of the old board. Now I have to work on a redirect script being added that shoots them here. I am testing some JS to allow people to go to the old board and then, after about 3 seconds, they are brought here.
I am already seeing some traffic losses because much of my traffic comes from Google and the new board hasn't been spidered yet.
If you have any other ideas please let me know. This is a work in progress afterall.
Thanks again and take care,
Jim Wilson

But you don't want to automatically re-direct the people who purposely go to the old forum to read the archives.

Hey Nat,
I completed the install of the new redirect script. It allows 10 seconds during which time people can click on any link which will cancel the redirection. For example if you click on search it will take you to the search page.
I look at this as a temp fix that will last for awhile but eventually I would like to actually make the old post/board a part of this board. Seeing so many low numbers on this board (brand new) is sort of sad to me given that the old board took about 5 years to gain 14,000 post. But at least this one is gaining momentum. :)
In any case please go to the old board and check it out. In the meantime I am going to post an explanation on the Old Forum link telling people how they can still get info from that board.
Thanks Nat for all of your help and input.
Jim
