This morning at about 3 am a local apartment exploded killing an 18 year old young man and his 8 month old daughter.

And look at the story - there is a lot of pics and film. I was there and am in some of them. What a terrible way to finish up my career here and in the streets.
In my 25 years I have seen some REALLY bad things. But I haven't ever seen total destruction like this. Those poor people never stood a chance. And there is one more young child that was hit in the head with flying debris that came through his bedroom window and is fighting for his life.
I will miss my job in many aspects. This is one portion that I will look back on but I will not miss, of this you can be certain.
Just wanted to share this story with you all. Please pray for the little guy who was struck in the head and for the family members of those who were killed and are going through such a terrible time right now. The young man killed was a relative of one of our firefighters which makes things even worse by the way.
