The bottom line is that the user was a Russian spammer using a proxy in order to mask themselves as a US user. They hoped that it would lead to some clicks to their other links that were listed in their non-sense post.

Nothing against Putin, I think he is a little on the violent side myself, but why is it that most of the worst criminals and spammers seem to come from the USSR now? Or the Asian-Pacific area.
