Hello Chris. I hope that you notice this message.

Jim Wilson mentioned that you nay be able to help me with my following query:

Hi, I'm brand new to this, but having sold a few of my personal possessions successfully on eBay recently I am considering starting business. I have a lot of time because I am unemployed presently.

I have perused this forum and can see the advantages of ordering and reading through the ebooks before starting, but those books are from the USA, I believe, and so the one that lists wholesalers would be irrelevant for me since I live in Australia. It seems to me that one of the first things a new ebay seller would need to do (after deciding on which products he/she wants to sell) is to find a good wholesaler.

So can I ask how one can source wholesale providers/dropshippers in Australia? I have no idea where to begin, and all the ebay tips in the world won't help me start if I can't get a supplier. Are there national lists available or something?

Jim's recent comments: "..there is the Worldwide Brands by Chris Malta. I believe that their dropship directory actually crosses all international boundaries. Chris actually comes here every now and then and if you were to post a question directly addressed to him you can almost be assured he will come in a reply."

Thanks for your time, Chris.

Simon

Hi Simon,

My name is Tisha Rogers and I'm the Operations Manager at Worldwide Brands and I'm happy to address your post.

Your comment; "It seems to me that one of the first things a new ebay seller would need to do (after deciding on which products he/she wants to sell) is to find a good wholesaler." That is true, however please keep in mind that there are a lot of products that you cannot sell on eBay and that not all suppliers will work with eBay sellers. Many of them think that having their products in an auction setting devalues their product. So you basically have to do your searching for suppliers and product research at the same time. :)

Locating suppliers in your own country is easier than you think! Check the yellow pages! But you need to keep an open mind. See what is available then see what you can do with those products. Don't narrow down your choices before seeing what is available, because as I said above, not all suppliers will work with eBay sellers.

There is a great website for the Australian Trade Commission called AusTrade, http://www.austrade.gov.au This website is an excellent source for Australian Based Manufactuers and Suppliers and we have started to peruse this ourselves.

Our Directories are Worldwide and we do list a number of suppliers that will work with International Retailers, however, the bulk of our listings are based in the US. But we still have sources in Canada, Australia, UK etc. We are constantly expanding our Directories and searching for international suppliers to add. But because of language barriers, time differences etc, it is difficult to locate genuine sources and to qualify them for a listing. That is why we turn to Trade Organizations and Commissions for help. We are very picky about who we list and only want to offer quality sources. This is more time consuming for us, but better for our retailer members in the end.

Check out our free previews to see the types of products that are available, and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Team via email at info@worldwidebrands.com. Our home page; http://www.worldwidebrands.com and our free preview is located here; http://www.worldwidebrands.com/wwb/main_memberintro2.asp?

Hope that helps,

Jim Wilson

And that, folks, is what makes Worldwide Brands just a little different from other Dropship Supply list; they actually are people and not just some business entity and they care enough to take the time to respond.

In over 5 years of dealing with this company I have yet to find them anything but courteous, professional, responsive, and effective.

Thanks again Tisha,
Jim Wilson
