In Response To: What sells where? (Mel. White)
eBay is indeed crowded. This can be a positive to sellers or a negative. It all depends on what you are selling and how you place your ads.
As you know there are many types of ads on eBay. If you use the "Feature" option, which cost more, you will get more visitors to your ads. I always use this option on high end items or items where I am going to sell a bunch of them on a "Dutch" and there is competition. Afterall, I want to get every edge that I can.
Now as for what sells and what won't. That's a tough one. I have seen things sell that I never in a million years would have thought would have. And then I myself have posted ads for things that I just knew would be snapped up and seen my ad, that was a winner I had used before, go with no bids. If you stick to items that you know are selling on eBay then, even if there is competition, it won't matter once you build a name and a rep. The key is to stay at least up with the competition if not ahead of them.
Hope this helps!
